Things to Do

Do you need ideas for what to do at the beach?

Walk the beach. A short walk from Resting on the Rock gets you to 5 miles of uncrowded beach, filled with tide pools and creatures of the ocean. If you really feel adventurous, remember that all Oregon beaches are open to the public and can be walked on as long as you want.

Our local community of Seal Rock may be small, but it is filled with a wide variety of things of interest.  We have several outstanding wood carvers you may see in action, antiques to browse, a glassblower's studio to visit, and novelty shops to tempt you and invite you to linger.

Or treat your taste buds with a variety of sensations from  homemade fudges, ice creams, tasty lunches, good coffees to authentic Japanese cuisine.  .

How about surf or rock fishing?

All this just two miles or less from our door.
